25k songs before Christmas... December app updates... Join our private user community.
Our last review of 2021.
Dear Jamzoners,
We are so thankful for your support and participation throughout this year. It’s been a challenging one, for all of us, but we hope Jamzone has helped you receive and give the gift of music. Happy Holidays to All!
The headlines for this last review of the year are:
Almost 25k songs available… and more to come!
A major Android update & minor Apple update are available for download.
News from our Private Facebook Community.
Our hand-selected Christmas list of songs that stand out.
A teaser of what’s coming for Jamzone in 2022.
Reaching 25k songs before Christmas
We've almost completed the rollout of our entire Extended Catalog update. By enabling access to the songs with audio tracks only, we'll have jumped from ±12.000 songs to almost 50.000 songs playable from the Jamzone app come 2022.
You'll notice a massive increase in songs in the NEW section. While they are still pending chord identification by our music professionals, purchasing these titles will give you immediate access to the audio tracks and also tags them for priority chord identification by our team.
Major Android Update
Android is catching up to our Apple app status! From v2.4.0 you can:
Access our entire catalog (full tracks, restricted tracks, pending tracks).
Set your preferred playback behavior for playlists (Auto-Next & Autoplay).
The order of sections in the Browse page now adapts to your profile status.
(if it’s not yet available for your area, please check again in a couple of days)
Minor Apple Update
Some new things on iOS/iPadOS/macOS this month as well.
Drag & Drop to reorder titles in a setlist.
Turn ON/OFF displaying chords, lyrics, waveform, and time grid from your Settings -> Player display.
Bugfix crashing the app at launch on macOS Catalina.
The order of sections in the Browse page now adapts to your profile status.

Earlier this month we launched our private Facebook group reserved for the most active users on Jamzone. Members are already very active, sharing their own experiences with the app, suggesting and debating features, and discussing #Jamzone #Music #BackingTracks #Instruments #Chords #Lyrics #MusicBusiness #MusicTech.
I’m excited to be added to this group at Jamzone! I mainly just dawdle with the tunes, sometimes using them to learn the melodies and words. Other times, I turn pertinent instruments off, so I can be the “rockstar!” Hehe.
I might fire up Jamzone today, and see if I can create something of my very own. But; listener beware. I’m a 74 yo has been, and too old for a wannabe. I’ve been told, hundreds of times, that I can’t sing. (So tired of that). I might “attempt” to sing on Jamzone anyway. Life is too short not to have singing, humming, and playing musical instruments in our lives. It’s an imperative must have.
Mainly, I’m enjoying the priceless privelage of watching, listening, and enjoying the performances of you guys.

Pick the perfect setlist for your Christmas Concert
When it comes to Christmas, what can really make a difference between cheesy and classy is how wisely you pick your setlist. No need to go digging for the perfect holiday song. Our advice? Skip the most obvious, overplayed pop Christmas-ey hits, avoid ‘Jingle Bells’ like the plague and look for evergreen classics in a modern suit.
Need inspiration? Here are our ideas of the perfect holiday backing tracks that you'll find on Jamzone.
What’s on for 2022?
We’ll go into more details about our roadmap for the upcoming year in our next newsletter, but in short, here's what you can look forward to:
Adding a master volume output fader for each song to harmonize your setlists levels.
Saving your songs settings to your account online instead of your device.
Controlling Jamzone from a foot pedal.
Synchronizing the display of multiple devices running Jamzone.
