Jamzone Catalog Stats
In 2021 we produced 400 new songs from the most popular suggestions we received. Our Extended Catalog update continues to roll out and massively increase the offering of backing tracks you can find on Jamzone.
As of today, it features:
Total songs: 33.395
Full tracks: 12.993
Pending Sync tracks: 18.813
Restricted tracks: 1.589
To continue to advance in chords and lyrics synchronization for purchased Pending Sync Tracks, our team of music theory experts grew in December in order to double our volume of production: we've hit 1.000 tracks synchronized each month..
In 2022, we aim to produce 500 new tracks and continue on the Full Tracks delivery as fast as we humanly possible! 😉
Jamzone February Apps Update
Release calendar:
v2.15 on iPhones and iPads: 01.20.22
v2.15 on Macs: around 01.24.22
v2.5 on Android: around 01.24.22
Includes features demanded by our community.
Master volume fader
From Apple 2.15 and Android 2.5. You can control the Master/Main Mix volume for each track to harmonize the levels of your concert’s setlist. This parameter is saved for the track and will remain until you change it again.
Master Solo / Mute
From Apple 2.15 and Android 2.5. You will also find the Mute and Solo buttons you are familiar with. On the Master track, they allow you to execute their action simultaneously on all tracks in the mixer. For example: hit mute to completely turn off the app’s sound without having to reach your device or PA volume controls.
Find tracks to Add to Setlist faster!
From Apple 2.15 and Android 2.5. We added a Search field to help you browse and identify faster the songs in your library when you build your setlists.
Improved BPM control
From Apple 2.15 and Android 2.5. BPM now changes in increments of 1%. If you still want to change by 50%, simply stay pressed on the + or - icon to accelerate the change.
macOS keyboard shortcuts
From MacOS 2.15. We added some handy keyboard shortcuts meant to help you control the player when on stage. Hit the right or left arrows to skip back or forward 10 seconds. Hit P/N to go to the previous or next song in your setlist.
Celebrating Cover & Tribute Bands
The start of this year was all about celebrating Cover and Tribute bands, showing them how Jamzone can help with training and performance.
For the occasion we partnered up with Cover Band Central, “the #1 resource for cover bands and musicians”. Check out our FEATURED POST on their Facebook page and the PODCAST available on all streaming platforms.
We’ve also published a new page on our website: JAMZONE - FOR COVER BANDS, as well as a blog post on the topic: HOW TO START A COVER BAND? DOS AND DON’TS FOR BEGINNERS.
On top of that, we’ve built a cool playlist from inspired cover bands and it's available on Jamzone!
Coming up next
In early February we will release our next app update with something you’ve been long waiting for: Cloud synchronization of your track mix settings. This is almost ready, but since this is a sensitive update we decided to test it one more week and make a dedicated update just for this. We’re super excited and can't wait to share it!
Until next time… we wish you happy jamming!
We noted a bug on Apple v2.15 for the size of mixer faders on standard and mini iPad sizes. We will be deploying a correction along with the synchronisation of your song settings in the cloud on v2.16 this week.
